Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you create a Golf Passport, we store your display name, email address, country, account identifiers and, if you add one, your profile photo. Sign-in and email verification are handled by Amazon Cognito; Google sign-in shares the account information needed to create or access your passport.
When check-in is available to you, we also store the courses you visit, the dates you choose, your memories and the photos or videos you upload. Check-in for members opens on January 1, 2027. We do not need your device location to record a course you select.
How we use and store it
We use this information to run your account, send verification and password-reset emails, build your passport, and display your progress. Your passport visibility setting controls whether your courses and progress can be shown to other members. Images you choose to share outside the service can be saved or reshared by their recipients.
Member profile photos and check-in photos and videos are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 in Singapore (ap-southeast-1). Account and journey records are stored in our application database hosted on AWS in Singapore. AWS provides our authentication and hosting services.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential sign-in cookies to maintain your session and complete authentication. We also keep technical request logs to operate and troubleshoot the service. We have not installed a visitor analytics or advertising tracking tool. If we introduce one, we will update this policy with the provider, information collected and your choices, and request consent where required before enabling optional tracking.
Your choices
A profile photo is optional. You can edit your profile, change your passport visibility, delete individual visits, or request account deletion from your Profile page. Account deletion removes your uploaded files and account records through our deletion process. Contact us if you need help accessing, correcting or deleting your information.
Course and place data
Course data includes © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Place data is from GeoNames, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). We process these datasets to support course search and place names.
